RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. ELIGIBILITY: Kurihara Contracting's “New Friend Day Contest” is open to all Hawaii residents, 21 years of age or older. Employees and their immediate family & household members of Kurihara Contracting, its affiliates, distributors, suppliers, advertising, promotional, or agencies are not eligible to win. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. No substitution of prizes is offered, no transfer of the prize to a third party is permitted and prize may not be redeemed for cash value. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law. All federal, state, and local laws apply. No groups, clubs or organizations may participate in this offer or reproduce or distribute any portion of these rules to its members. Kurihara Contracting reserves the right to modify or cancel this promotion at any time without liability.

2. HOW TO ENTER: Follow Kurihara Contracting on their official Instagram account.   Tag a friend in the comments section o the 10/19/20 post with your favorite emoji.  You may enter more than once if tagging different people.  By following Kurihara Contracting and following the procedures above, entrant enters themselves in the contest for one $25 gift card to ARVO.  ARVO, Instagram and Facebook are not in any way associated with the contest itself and is released from any liability before, during and after the contest, along with Kurihara Contracting, its subsidiaries, divisions and related companies.

No mechanically reproduced entries will be accepted. No responsibility is assumed for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, damaged, misdirected or past-due entries. Incomplete and/or illegible entries will automatically be disqualified.

3. PRIZE DESCRIPTION: One(1) gift card will be awarded.  Winner of this gift card will be mailed the gift card.  Winner will be notified via direct message or comment reply from Kurihara Contracting’s official account.

​

4. DRAWING: The winner of Kurihara Contracting “New Friend Day Contest” will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received.  Drawing time will be held at Kurihara Contracting's discretion.  The winner will be drawn by a representative of Kurihara Contracting, whose decisions in all matters shall be final. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. By entering this contest, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges relative to the contest.

5. WINNER NOTIFICATION / RELEASE: A representative from Kurihara Contracting will confirm with the prize winner by phone. Winner must respond within 7 business days. If the winner fails to respond within that time, the winner will be ineligible and an alternate winner will be selected. Winner must consent to the use of their name, picture or other likeness for promotional purposes as determined by Kurihara Contracting. If the winner refuses to allow his/her name, picture or likeness be used for promotional purposes as determined by Kurihara Contracting, the winner will be ineligible to win and an alternate winner will be selected. All winners, by acceptance of the prize, agree to release Kurihara Contracting, its subsidiaries, divisions and related companies from any and all liability for injuries or damage sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the prize in any prize related activity.

In addition to the above states, winner must give a valid address to send the gift card within 10 day of confirmation after response. If winner fails to send the information within that time, the winner will be ineligible and an alternate winner will be selected.

6. TAX CONSEQUENCES: Prize winners shall be solely responsible for paying any federal, state or local tax arising from the award of the prize. Kurihara Contracting, and their respective affiliates, distributors, suppliers, advertising, promotional, or judging agencies shall not be responsible for payment of the taxes. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the tax consequences of the winning of a prize.
